Photina is a church management platform that helps you organize your members, plan services and events, and reach your congregation instantly through SMS, all from one dashboard, without spreadsheets or scattered WhatsApp groups.
From your dashboard, compose a message, choose who should receive it (everyone, a specific group, or by gender), and send. Messages go out instantly using your church's registered Sender ID.
A Sender ID is the name your members see instead of a phone number (e.g. "GRACECHURCH"), so every message is instantly recognizable as coming from your church, not an unfamiliar number members might ignore. Because a Sender ID is registered with the mobile network operators and the regulator, every request is reviewed before it goes live, so approval isn't automatic and isn't guaranteed.
Request one right from your Photina dashboard: pick a name of up to 11 characters, made up of letters, numbers, and spaces (with at least one letter, so it can't be mistaken for a phone number), and submit it. Photina reviews the request, then relays it to your church's SMS Gateway for registration with the network operators and TCRA. Approval is typically processed within 14 days, and once approved, your Sender ID is ready to use on every message your church sends.
